The raging bull of Lamborghini has been an emblem of
performance cars for almost 50 years now. Today, when a new era of supercars
began, Lamborghini has set it’s most ambitious goal yet – The Aventador. The
Aventador has become a game changer by stepping it’s competitors out of the
road. It is without any doubt, one of the best supercars the world has ever
seen. In keeping with Lamborghini tradition, the Aventador is named after a
fighting bull. Aventador was a bull that fought particularly valiantly in the
bull ring of Zaragoza, Spain in 1993. The bull which the Aventador is named
after earned the Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera for its courage in the arena.
To make the Aventador superfast, they had to make it superlight. And then it’s
there – full carbon-fibre monocoque. It is built in Lamborghini’s special
Carbon-fibre Plant. This makes a great power-to-weight ratio, thus giving it a
great handeling. When we talk about Aventador’s design, it is made with keeping
in mind it’s traditional design with something completely new. It’s Y
headlights just look awesome. It is great in terms of aerodynamics. Each
Aventador is given 200 hours to get painted and polished – every single of
them!!. The Heart of the Aventador is put together by around 40 people in
Lamborghini’s assembly line – The Lamborghini V12. Production of the Aventador was planned to
be limited to 4,000 vehicles but in 2016, it achieved the 5,000 unit milestone.
It is offered in both coupe and roadster versions.
PERFORMANCE
The Aventador LP 700–4 uses Lamborghini's new 690 bhp 6.5 litre 60° V12 engine weighing only 235 kg. It is the first all-new V12 since the 3.5 litre powerplant found in the 350GT. The power is deliverd through a single-clutch seven speed semi-automatic transmission. Despite being single-clutch, gear-shifts are accomplished in 50 milliseconds. The new, electronically controlled, all-wheel drive system is developed and supplied by the Swedish company Haldex Traction. Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has a power to weight ratio of 2.25 kg per horsepower – That’s great!. The Aventador is capable of reaching from 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 354 kmph. The Aventador’s wing features 3 positions that change with driving conditions and speed. Aventador is not only most powerful Lamborghini ever but also most fuel efficient.
INTERIOR
It is a feast for your eyes in the form of a TFT instrument panel that looks like a refugee from some abandoned skunkworks fighter aircraft. Despite this, If you look close enough at some of the interior controls, you might recognize them from other Volkswagen/Audi products. These include the Audi MMI-based infotainment system and the audio controls on the steering wheel like a previous generation Audi A4. You will see all the safety electrical tech one would expect like ABS, stability control, hill start assist, anti-slip control along with the ability to change the characteristics through Lambo's drive select system. Every leather on various parts of Aventador’s interior is hand stitched. Interior is offered in 9 colors!.
